Day 1 : Arrival Mumbai
On arrival our company representative meet and assist you and transfer to hotel by private air-condition car. Now you’re welcome to India for the Buddhist travel package in India. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 : Mumbai
Today enjoy Mumbai tour after breakfast take a sightseeing of Mumbai drive to Gateway of India. You will enjoy cruise by motorboat to Elephanta Caves- This is world Heritage site in 1987, located at Elephanta Islands in Mumbai harbor some of the finest rock cut of India. The most famous temple of Trimurti or triple headed Lord Shiva on the Elephanta Island. There are seven caves spread on two hills, five on the Western hill. Later return to Gateway of India and after lunch visit Prince of wales Museum, Kamla Nehru Park, Marine drive , Juhu beach area and Jain Temple. In evening enjoy with shopping and over night in hotel.
Day 3 : Mumbai – Aurangabad (By Air) – Ajanta (105 kms: 2 hrs)
After breakfast drive to airport to board the scheduled flight to Aurangabad. On arrival transfer to hotel. After relaxation take an excursion to World Heritage Site, Ajanta Caves. Ajanta is one the architectural marvels and historical place in India and it was discovered on 19th Century by group of British officers who were on a tiger hunt. We can find 30 rock cut man-made caves, inside the cave you can see artistic pictures of lord Buddha’s life and Buddhism. It is combined three form arts- architecture, Sculpture and painting. These magnificent rock-cut caves from 200 BC to 650 AD. Out of 30 rock caves have 9,10,19,26 and 29 Number caves are Chaitya and rest are Viharas or the monasteries. After sightseeing of Ajanta return to Aurangabad. Evening at leisure and Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 : Aurangabad – Ellora (30 kms: ½ hrs)
After breakfast take an excursion to Ellora Caves. Ellora – one of the highly recommended World Heritage Site. It was built 600 AD to 1000 AD. The temple of Ellora are dedicated to Brahmanism, Jainism and Bhuddhism. There are 34 caves (Monasteries and temples) 17 caves are dedicated to Hinduism (600-875 AD), 12 to Buddhism (550-750AD)and 5 caves to Jainism (800-1000AD) and 22 more caves dedicated to lord Shiva, Kailas Temple. Jain caves (32 Number) are famous for magnificent Yakshi statue and celling paintings. Later return to Aurangabad and visit Bibi ka Maqbara built by Azam Shah and evening visit colorful market of Aurangabad. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 : Aurangabad – Delhi (By Air)
After breakfast drive to airport to board the scheduled flight to Delhi. On arrival transfer to hotel. After relaxation take a sightseeing of Old Delhi and New Delhi. Tour start from Old Delhi and Visit the largest mosque in India – Jama Masjid and visit original capital of Mughals -Red fort built by Shah Jahan. Then move to Chandi Chowk for rickshaw ride, this is major attraction of International tourist. Rajghat the resting place (samadhi), Memorial of Mahatama Gandhi. Now enjoy with New Delhi sightseeing such as India Gate the memorial of India soldiers martyred, President House the imperial residence of British. One the most famous temple is called Bhai’s temple (Lotus temple), Qutub Minar – built by qutub –ud- din Aibek. It is 72.5 metres high and one has to climb 379 steps to get to the top. Humayun’s tomb -This excellent piece of architecture was said to have been the major idea that is said to have inspired Shahjahan to construct the wonderful, Taj Mahal at Agra. Optionally you can enjoy light and sound show at Red fort at evening time. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 : Delhi – Varanasi (By Air)
After breakfast drive to airport to board the scheduled flight to Varanasi. Assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel. After relaxation take excursion of Sarnath which 10 km from Varanasi. In Sarnath visit deep park and Bodhi tree where Lord Buddha perched his first sermon, visit Chaukhandi Stupa, dhamek Stupa and Sarnath Museum. Later return to Varanasi. In evening you can visit beautiful market for Varanasi Sarees and handicraft. At time of sunset again you can visit Ganges river to see Aarti on bank of river, where many tourists and thousand of devotees attend to see the Aarti and pray to God. Later return to hotel for overnight.
Day 7 : Varanasi – Bodhgaya (190 km 4 hrs)
Today early morning boat ride on the holy river Ganges to view the spectacular sunrise and to witness the rituals that take place along the ghats. Later return to hotel for breakfast and rest. After lunch visit Banaras Hindu University – largest residential University in Asia. Which is spread over 300 acres of land, Banaras Hindu University founded in 1916-1917 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviay , the great nationalist leader. Later proceed on the tour temple in Varanasi, Kashi Vishwanath Temple dedicted to lord Shiva, Durga temple dedicated to goddess Durga on 18th C entury and also you can say monkeys temple due to large number of monkey founded in this temple. In evening you can visit beautiful market for Varanasi Sarees and handicraft .
Day 8 : Bodhgaya
After early breakfast take a sightseeing of Mahabodhi Temple. Bodhgaya- one of the most sacred pilgrimage place for Buddhist where Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree followed by visit to Chinese temple. Later visit Niranjana Temple and River. Evening you will be free for own activities. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 : Bodhgaya – Rajgir – Nalanda – Patna (180 kms: 4 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Patna en routes visit Nalanda and Rajgir. Nalanda – One of the oldest University in the world, it founded in the 5th Century BC and International Centre for Buddhist studies also. It became a famous centre of Buddhist and Jain learning. In 7th Century AD one of the Chinise traveler "Hiuen Tsang" spent several years for studied. Visit Archaeological Museum and later proceed to Rajgir the ancient capital of Powerful Magadha Kings. Lord Buddha often visited to retreat during the rainy season for Meditating and preaching on the Gridhakuta Hills. The devotee of Buddha built many structure here. Move towards Jain temple of Lord Mahvira. The first Buddhist council was held here after Buddha nirvana. Then continue drive to Patna. On arrival transfer to hotel. After some relaxation visit Har Mandir-the 2nd most important Gurudwara in India. Visit Golghar- was built in 1786 for storing the grains to be used in the time of food crisis. In evening you can visit colorful market and you can world famous Paiting is called Mithila Painting. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 10 : Patna – Vaishali – Kushinagar (340 kms: 7 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Kushinagar, en routes visit Vaishali. It is situated on the bank of the Gandak river where lord Buddha preached his last sermon. Lord Buddha visited Vaishali more than once during his lifetime and announced his approaching Mahaparivirvana to the great followers he had here. Lord Mahavir was born in Vaishali and lived till 22 years. In Vaishali is pilgrimage place for Buddhist and Jain. Later continue drive to Kushinagar. On arrival transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 : Kushinagar
After breakfast take a sightseeing of Kushinagar. Lord Gautam Buddha breathed his last. Visit Nirvana Stupa and Temple – This stupa made of bricks, exposed by Carlleyl in 1867. Stands at a height of 2.74 and house the over 6 meters long statues of reclining Buddha. Visit Japanese Temple- 8 metals statue of Buddha which brought from Japan. Rambhar Stupa – Buddha’s cremation ground, Kushinagar Museum-in Museum has precious coin, statues, architectural and sculptures. Later visit Buddha Vihar, Mhaparinirana temple. In evening visit Meditation park and Birla Temple. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12 : Kushinagar – Lumbini – Sravasti (255 kms: 6 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Sravasti, en routes visit Lumbini (Birth Place of Buddha). Buddha was born in 623 BC. Lumbini is listed in World Heritage site and situated at the foothills of the Himalayas. Visit Sacred Garden – Where Buddha was born converges on the Ashoka Pillar, Maya Devi temple- Maya devi (Mother of Buddha), the temple was built over an Ashokan stupa. The Ashokan Pillar – erected by Ashoka (249 Bc), the pillar on the spot of Buddha’s birth. Lumbini gave a message of universal laove and brotherhood. Later proceed to Sravasti. On arrival transfer to hotel . Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13 : Sarvasti – Sahet & Mahet – Lucknow (175 kms: 3 hrs)
After breakfast visit Saravasti- one of the eight most important pilgrimages of Buddhists. Visit Maheth & Sahet – the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Kosala. Visit Devi Patan Temple, Shobhanath Temple, majestic monasteries and Anand Bodhi tree. Buddha is said to have performed some miracle here. Later proceed to Lucknow. On arrival transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 14 : Lucknow – Delhi (By Air)
After breakfast take a half day sightseeing tour of the Lucknow , Visit Bara Imambara- built in the year 1784 by Nawab of Awadh , Jama Masjid – constructed by Sultan Ahmed Shah in 1423. Clock Tower- the tallest tower in India (221 feet height) and visit Moti mahal and drive to airport to board the scheduled flight for Delhi. On arrival transfer to International airport to board the connecting flight for home town. Tour concludes with happy memories.
